Diane Alleva C醕eres is President and Managing Director of Market Access International, Inc. (MAI), an international trade, investment and enterprise growth consulting firm founded in 1996. Prior to establishing MAI, Ms. Alleva C醕eres held positions at the Center for Trade and Investment Services in Washington, DC, Australian Trade Commission, the World Technology Foundation, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

Over a 17 year period Ms. Alleva C醕eres has assisted private and public sector clients trade and invest in North America, Europe, the Pacific and emerging markets. She has an extensive client list including the US Trade & Development Agency, Georgia Department of Industry, Trade & Tourism, European Commission, AFC Enterprises, Canadian trade and investment promotion agencies and has collaborated closely on policy and specific initiatives with the European Commission and the US Department of Commerce.

EXPERIENCE:
Ms. Alleva C醕eres was elected as a Life Member to the Council on Foreign Relations in June of 2001. She is a member of The European Community Studies Association, European Institute, World Trade Center Association, Metro-Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and The Advisory Board for Graduate Studies and Research and The Dean's International Leadership Council at the College of William & Mary. She was awarded a Rotary International Fellowship under which she pursued coursework at L'Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, France.

She travels frequently to Europe, Canada and select emerging markets. Her native language is English. She is fluent in French and has an understanding of Spanish.

Rebecca DeShazo-Westly (USAF - Ret.) - Regional Sales Manager, Belden & Associates


Rebecca DeShazo-Westly is a 20 year veteran of the United States military. Her military credentials include distinguished service as an Air Force OSI counterintelligence agent as well as a military weapons instructor and expert. During her military service, she was assigned to tours in the United States, as well as the United Kingdom, Germany and South Korea. Her OSI work included assignments as an undercover counterintelligence agent in classified operations.

Upon retirement, she joined International Training Incorporated, a private security training company contracted to the U.S. Government security and intelligence community. In her capacity first as an instructor and later as a program manager, Rebecca provided support to the United States military, the Department of State and other government security and intelligence agencies. She supervised multiple security teams that traveled to almost every foreign country on a yearly basis, supporting U.S. Government security requirements.

Rebecca traveled and worked as an advisor to overseas U.S. Government security teams during her career at International Training Incorporated, as well as supporting Fortune 100 companies' security requirements in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of September 11th. She is now employed as a senior consultant at Beldon & Associates, which provides information research and acquisition to an exclusive clientele.

EXPERIENCE:
Rebecca has traveled and worked in England, Germany, Greece, Honduras, El Salvador, Bonaire, Curacao, Ascension Island, Cayman Islands, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Kiribati. Rebecca is a graduate of the OSI Academy, the Air Force weapons school and the University of Phoenix. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.

Howard Giiten is a technology attorney in the Florida offices of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge, LLP. He has over twenty years experience protecting the competitive advantage of companies throughout the world. As a registered patent attorney, Howard, not only knows how best to protect a client's unique assets, but how best to make them marketable and how to best use intellectual property for competitive advantage. He has advised his clients in instituting cradle-to-grave IP regimes, to licensing IP and building joint development programs around a client's IP.

While in house Mr. Gitten spent time working with Chinese suppliers, licensing technology from entities like the Wuhan Research Institute, and arranging for H1B visas for Chinese engineers and scientists working in the U.S.

Howard's clients have ranged from basement tinkerers to privately held start-ups to Fortune 100 companies throughout the world. In addition to protecting technology, Howard advises his clients when navigating the treacherous waters of other's property rights through the conducting of patent and trademark validity and infringement investigations.

Howard has served on the Board of the South Florida Technology Alliance, is currently on the Executive Team of the MIT Enterprise Forum of South Florida , and founded the Fire Circle a peer to peer network of technology based entrepreneurs.

Edward Han, Managing Partner, Synorica Resources, LLC


Edward Han is Managing Partner of Synorica Resources LLC, a business consultancy specializing in China sourcing and business development. He has been in China-related business for over 20 years.

At Synorica Resources, Mr. Han has assisted American businesses in defining their China sourcing strategies, securing vendors and suppliers, setting up production capabilities, and developing business in China. His experience includes contract manufacturing of patented consumer products and sourcing of packaging materials and equipment, chemicals, construction materials, and household products. He has also worked with Chinese entrepreneurs to secure funding for mining projects in China.

EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Han's career started with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). He has since held senior positions responsible for trade and business development with China in several companies in China and the U.S.

He is a board member of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay. He chairs the project committee responsible for China trade missions and other China-related business initiatives.

Timothy C. Heberlein has 25+ years of government affairs, media, sales, marketing and brand image management experience in China - both as brand owner and consultant. As president of TS Edgewater Consultants, recent client programs include negotiation and integration counsel for acquisition of a Chinese enterprise by a U.S. manufacturer as well as corporate and product branding, sales channel establishment, HR and sourcing projects in China; additionally, crisis preparedness training and counsel to an array of top private and public sector organizations.

As former president of EDELMAN Public Relations Worldwide - China, Heberlein provided strategic counsel to a variety of clients across a range of brand and business creation, revitalization, education and defense programs, growing the agency to #1 in the market. He also served on the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce - Beijing as well as senior media counsel for its chairman.

EXPERIENCE:
Heberlein is an expert China brand and business strategist, adept in market development, brand building and issue/crisis handling. He has counseled companies through consumer litigation, product recalls, blackmail attempts, and competitor attacks and as well as China operations start-ups and restructurings. Notable achievements include authoring the campaign slogan for Beijing's winning 2008 Olympics bid, a successful PRC Supreme Court appeal, and top medalist at the China International PR Association's '4th Golden Awards Competition' in 2000.

Heberlein is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin/Madison with B.A.s in Chinese linguistics and literature. His academic training included study at Taiwan National Normal University in Taipei and Phitsanuloke Pittyakom in Thailand. He is a guest lecturer at Qinghua University and Beijing University and was founder/ publisher of chinapr.com. A 27-year Asia resident, he is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese and conversant in Thai and Korean.

Randy Knott is a Vice President, Senior Principal, and Senior Project Manager with MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. He has over 37 years experience in civil and environmental engineering throughout the world, including over 33 years with MACTEC. He specializes in foundation engineering, construction engineering, historic structure preservation/restoration, environmental restoration, and the application of geosciences to engineered construction.

EXPERIENCE:
Randy is a Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and a member of several other professional organizations. Randy served as MACTEC's Project Manager for the Cape Hatteras Light Station Relocation Project in 1999 which has won numerous awards including ASCE's prestigious Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award for 2000. In 2000, he was named Engineer of the Year in Private Practice for the Atlanta metro area. Over the last 5 years, Randy has been more involved in MACTEC's marketing, business development, and project execution in China.

Randy earned his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Master's in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University, and is a registered professional engineer in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Randy is a native of Georgia. He was born in Atlanta in the year of the golden pig.

With 37-years experience in international transportation, Mr. Mitchell today serves as the Vice President of Zim's South Atlantic District. Prior to this appointment in February 1995 Mr. Mitchell served as General Sales Manager for the South East.. He joined Zim in August 1983. In his current position Mr. Mitchell is responsible for all the company's activities in the South Eastern United States.

EXPERIENCE:
Prior to joining Zim Mr. Mitchell held various management positions with Seatrain Lines, Norton Lilly, Carolina Shipping and President of Consolidated Cargo Carriers, Inc.

Mr. Mitchell currently resides in Savannah, Georgia with his wife JoAnne. He has been married for 34 years and has two grown daughters.

Penelope Prime has 30 years of experience studying and working within Chinese culture and the dynamic Chinese economy. She majored in Chinese studies and studied Mandarin as an undergraduate, then earned a Ph.D. in economics at the University of Michigan. She was one of the first U.S. graduate students to do dissertation research in China after the U.S. and China normalized relations in the late 1970s.

Dr. Prime's experience includes directing study abroad programs, conducting field research in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and analyzing China's economy for the Center for International Research at the U.S. Bureau of the Census from 1991-1998. She has worked with companies on China strategy, business environment, negotiations and cultural understanding.

EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Prime is currently teaching international economics and business in the MBA and Executive programs at Mercer. Her research focuses on China's economy and business environment, including applied business and economics cases on China and Asia. Her articles have been published in Applied Economics, Economic Development and Cultural Change, Pacific Economic Review, Osaka Economic Papers, and Business Economics, among others, as well as journals in China. She serves on the editorial boards of China Economic Review and the Indian Journal of Economics and Business. She has received numerous grants, including from the American Council of Learned Societies, the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Scholarly Communications with the PRC, and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

Dr. Prime is on the Research Board of the ICA Institute, which focuses on the development and interactions of India, China and America, and is one of the U.S. based Secretariats of the West China Development Studies Consortium. She serves as a board member for the Georgia China Alliance, and the Chinese Economist Society.

Rachel Shipley has been involved in both the Far East and the Middle East for over thirty years. She organized the First Jerusalem Economic Conference in Israel, working directly for the Prime Minister of the State.

In 1985, she made her first journey to China at the invitation of the Chinese Government to teach tourism (she had her own tourism company in Orlando, Florida) and to study Chinese at the Beijing Language Institute.

In 1996, she signed a trade agreement on behalf of an affiliate of Trading Wise, The Three Gorges Dam Development Company. The agreement, with the Yichang/Zhijiang Development zone, gives her company exclusive rights in the United States to arrange financing and development for over fifty projects planned in the area of the Three Gorges Dam.

EXPERIENCE:
Rachel travels to both China and Israel four to five times a year. Her company, Trading Wise, Inc. maintains offices in Tel Aviv and Beijing. She has expertise in the field of public relations. She has numerous personal press contacts and the ability to get clients into proper networking situations. She has extensive fund raising experience for charities and non-profit organizations.

Rachel continues to expand her international contacts and set up sources for trade and commerce in a number of nations including Israel, China, India, Venezuela, Argentina, Jordan, Ghana, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.

Jerry M. Striplin is Partner and Co-Founder of the Atlanta based Global Business Group and President of The Striplin Group. He has more than 30 years experience across various industries including software, information technology (ICT), automotive, financial services, tourism, and telecommunications; brokering deals (valued from $1 mil to $500 mil), addressing challenges to economic growth, and developing business strategies through public-private coalitions in the US, Asia, and Central and Eastern Europe - including recent "Competitiveness Programs" in Moldova, Armenia, Indonesia as Sr. Industry Advisor, Romania and Macedonia.

Jeff Willis, President, China Leads, LLC

Jeff Willis is President of China Leads, LLC, a subscription-based web service for small and medium size US companies that enables them to more effectively use the Internet to sell goods and services to Chinese businesses. Mr. Willis is also a veteran of international trade and international trade promotion and has been successfully developing and using computer based technologies to assist companies increase their exports for more than twenty years. He has also spent the majority of the last twenty six years studying, living and working in China - first as an exchange student, later as a US Diplomat and now as a businessman.

Prior to founding China Leads in June of 2001, Mr. Willis worked for a Kansas City based machine tool manufacturer where he managed the company's Asian network of agents and distributors and set up its China based contract manufacturing operation. Drawing upon his information technology background, Mr. Willis later became the company's Chief Information Officer, combining his knowledge of trade promotion and information technology to create a complete customer relationship management system for the company.

EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Willis is a former Commercial Officer with the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service and held positions at the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China, and the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai. As a Commercial Officer, Mr. Willis promoted American exports and counseled U.S. companies on local investment and market opportunities. He left the Diplomatic Service in 1992 to return to the U.S. where he directed the international marketing program for the State of Kansas for three years before leaving government and joining the private sector.

Mr. Willis has a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and philosophy and a Master of Arts degree in East Asian languages and culture from the University of Kansas. Fluent in French as well as Mandarin Chinese, he spent a year in Grenoble, France as a high school student, a year at the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies in Taipei, Taiwan and a year at Zhengzhou University in Henan, China. He continues to be active in international trade promotion as a Director of the U.S. Department of Commerce Mid-America District Export Council.

Henry Yu, Managing Director, Global Trade Solutions, SunTrust Bank

Henry Yu joined SunTrust as a Vice President in October of 1999. In January of 2006 Henry was promoted to Managing Director of Global Trade Solutions. Henry has over 26 years of experience in international lending, foreign bank relationship management, credit administration, multi-national lending, trade finance, cash management, structured finance and security investment. He is also a member of SunTrust Bank Atlanta Diversity Council, and Head of Atlanta Bank's Asian Initiative.

Henry is an advisor to the State of Georgia and the City of Atlanta on China and global strategies, and international trade. He is involved in the Global Commerce Council of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. In September of 2006, he assisted with planning and accompanied Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce on a visit to China to promote trade, investment and tourism.

In April of 2006, Henry was recognized as one of 67 Asian Leaders in Georgia and in May of 2006, he was named one of 25 Most Influential Asians by Georgia Asian Times.

EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Yu has been active in promoting global business since the 1980s. Henry has a MBA from the University of Detroit and a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.

Mr. Yu is very active in community affairs. He currently serves as President of the National Association of Chinese Americans. He was the immediate Past President of the Asian American Heritage Foundation, is a current board member of the Georgia China Alliance, Japan America Society of Georgia, Chinese Community Center, Foundation Board Trustee of Georgia Perimeter College, and an International Advisory Board member at Kennesaw State University. Henry is also on the Board of Curators of Delta Air Lines Diversity Team.

Terri Morgan is President/CEO of the Wudang Research Association; the China country representative for the Education and Training Center of the Netherlands, an international training group providing customized business courses for emerging markets; and the the US country representative for specialized travel programs for an international group affiliated with CCPIT-Henan.

Terri has extensive experience in business development, information technology, marketing, business analysis, process design, and technical documentation. She led the development efforts for the Wudang Research Association web site, one of the oldest continually-operating English/Chinese language sites on the net. The company recently celebrated it's 10 year anniversary. It is currently developing a series of online games for both the entertainment and education markets worldwide.

Terri has been an invited presenter at national and international conferences. She was invited as a foreign expert by CCPIT-Henan to teach multilanguage site design under a UN Development Programme grant. She has over 25 years of published work and has been recognized for her professional contributions in business, writing, and traditional Chinese martial arts. A three-time international champion, she retired from competition in 1997 and now serves as a judge and coach.

Originally from Kansas City, Terri is a native-speaker of English and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. She has studied Spanish and can read a little French, Italian, German, and Classical Greek. She is a member of the MIT Enterprise Forum of South Florida - Fire Circle, the Palm Beach Business Development Board, the Gerson-Lehrman Council of Advisors and American Mensa. Terri serves as a mentor for TechXplore, a National Science and Technology Education Partnership program.

Terri first went to China in 1990, serving as an English teacher at the Luoyang Institute for Technology in Henan Province. She has maintained relationships with her former students and met many new friends in China over the past 16 years. Her business partner and martial arts instructor, Yuzeng Liu, lives and works in Zhengzhou.
