Rendering complex technical, medical, or scientific concepts in any language can be difficult. It’s more difficult for someone who does not speak English as their first language. Sometimes, the grammar is off just a bit. Sometimes, it seems as if the original ideas are not clearly stated, making any effort to render the concepts in English all but impossible. These and other language problems affect just about everything written by a non-native speaker.
Not just any native speaker can edit technical and scientific papers. The average person isn’t going to be able to critique an explanation of data analysis methods or follow along with a description of the servo interactions for a robotic arm. Neither is the average native speaker going to be looking at medical and scientific journals. Being able to read the material, discover what the language problems are, and provide assistance with fixing them is something we can help with.
