THE AMBASSADOR is a fun, family-friendly, sci-fi, martial arts, adventure. It’s a comfortable story with characters who are outwardly ordinary and quietly extraordinary people. It’s a human story that takes place in a world where integrity and honor matter, trust is earned, wits matter more than firepower, friends are the best, everybody gets a seat at the table, and the good-guys win most of the time. It crosses generations and cultures, East and West. The audio drama a full theatrical adaptation of THE AMBASSADOR with music, sound effects, and professional voice actors. First released in September 2024, we are pleased to say our show is syndicated to listeners in 37 countries, 250 cities via all the podcast platforms. We are more pleased to say that in June 2025, we won a Corporate Live Wire Innovation and Excellence Award for our work.

Traditional Chinese internal martial arts are the essence of the story and the foundation for the characters. Literally.

In the story, Ambassador Micha Lawrence is an Adept of the 9th order and a Keeper of Earth. She calls on her four old friends – Sentar, Maru, Galen, and B’ani – to help her with a dangerous mission.

The foundations for the Five Old Friends, their relationships, their training to become adepts, their studies with Master Tai, and the arts they practice come from traditional internal martial arts. How we learn, what we learn, how we teach, what we teach, and what we should do (or not) are all part of the story.

In the stories, the Five Old Friends are the Five Elements of Xingyiquan. The colors they choose and the robes they wear are the colors of the Five Elements. Their personalities, their preferences, the ways in which they interact are all based on the character of the elements they represent.

1. Sentar is Metal. He is a fighter. He’s an expert in Xingyi and Xingyi sword.
2. Maru is Water. She petite, warm, and quiet. She’s the planetary push-hands champion. Her taiji is excellent.
3. Galen is Wood. He is a healer. He can fight if he has to. He’s an expert in Qigong and Taiji.
4. B’ani is Fire. She is tall, slender, and outspoken. Her bagua skills are unmatched.
5. Micha is Earth. She looks for the middle, the center in all she does. Her bagua is good. Her taiji is better. Her skills with a sword have not been seen in many generations.
